July 2011, Wuhan, China

By the time I was back to Wuhan in 2011, the city had plunged into a phase of massive construction. Before new buildings could rise, the old ones were to be torn away. There were still a few household who stuck to the buildings’ last moment.  The neighborhood Xian’an Fang was by no means what it had been back in 2006. Who owns this city’s future and who owns its memories?
